Dentures

Dentures are removable prosthetic devices designed to replace missing teeth and surrounding tissues. They are custom-made to fit a patient’s mouth and restore both the function and appearance of their smile. Dentures come in two main types:

1. Complete Dentures: These are used when all the teeth in the upper or lower jaw are missing. They consist of a full set of artificial teeth attached to a gum-colored acrylic base that fits over the gums and jawbone.

2. Partial Dentures: These are used when some natural teeth remain. Partial dentures consist of one or more artificial teeth attached to a base and are held in place by metal clasps or other attachments.

Dentures help patients regain the ability to chew, speak clearly, and maintain the structure of their face, preventing the sagging that can occur with tooth loss. Modern dentures are designed to be comfortable, natural-looking, and functional, offering a practical solution for those who have lost their teeth due to injury, decay, or gum disease.
